5-Minute Breakfasts for Rushed School Mornings
Cooking with Kenson Kids
Between backpacks, shoes, and getting out the door, breakfast is often the first thing to get squeezed on a school morning. Fast doesn't have to mean unhealthy.
Grab-and-Go Options
Yogurt parfait cups. Layer yogurt, granola, and fruit in small jars the night before.
Peanut butter banana roll-ups. Spread on a tortilla, add banana slices, roll, and slice.
Overnight oats. Mix oats, milk, and fruit the night before.
Egg muffins (prepped ahead). Make a batch on Sunday and reheat in under a minute.
Let Kids Help Build It
Even on a rushed morning, kids can spread nut butter, add fruit toppings, or pour cereal themselves.
A Few Tips to Make Mornings Smoother
- Set out bowls or containers the night before.
- Keep a small "grab zone" in the fridge with pre-portioned options.
- Don't be afraid to repeat the same few breakfasts all week.
